A Challenge: The Turbulence Training Bodyweight 500

Today I did the Turbulence Training Bodyweight 500 for a workout. Another TT Member (thanks M2P!) posed the idea for a mini challenge and quite a few people gave it a try. I did the "no substitutions" version on chin ups and pull ups, but I did do kneeling push ups. Here's what I did:

50 Prisoner Squats
50 Pushups (kneeling)
25 Jumps
25 Stability Ball Leg Curls
50 Stability Ball Jackknifes
50 Step-ups (25 reps per side)
25 Pull-ups (1 at a time)
50 Forward Lunges (25 reps per side)
50 Close-grip Pushups (kneeling)
50 Inverted Rows (beginner, with knees bent)
50 Squats
25 Chin-ups (mostly 1 at a time)

Total time: 26:17

I wasted a lot of time doing the pull ups and chin ups 1 at a time, but I was determined to do them all! I'm surprised the staff on duty didn't come and check on me when I collapsed to the floor after that last chin up! I think I laid there for 5 minutes. LOL

If you decide to tackle the BW 500, let me know! You are supposed to try and finish under 27 minutes.

Thanks Niki! You can definitely modify/substitute exercises. I visited your website, but wasn't sure which email address to write to you at. Is there one you prefer? I won't publish it. Or you can just ask specific questions here on my blog. Thanks for stopping by! :)

My light day is Thursday and I'm going to give this one a shot. Hitting the Pushups and Pullups in one shot? Definitely a sanity-tester!

Today I had did a Total Body Ten variation with a couple of women (that I'm training, but not officially training). One has already done the intermediate and original workouts...she's now doing the 2k3. The other just started doing the 2k3. Anyhow, neither could really do more than 3 pushups when they started.

Today they both successfully completed 100 pushups during the BW Circuit. They finished the 3rd circuit, then I told them they only needed 10 more pushups for one hundred...they dropped and nailed 10 more. Another awesome gym moment.
